What are Dermal Fillers?

What does Hyaluronic acid filler treatment involve?

Small amounts of hyaluronic acid are injected underneath the skin or lips in order to give a smoother or contoured appearance or to restore lost volume. Treatment time can be between 20-40 minutes which allows time for area to be numbed prior to treatment. Make-up can be applied immediately after your procedure which allows you to continue with your daily routine straight after leaving no down time. Prior to any treatment a full consultation will take place with a Medical professional and in order to make you as comfortable as possible for your treatment a local Anaesthetic cream will be offered to numb the area to be injected.

When will I see the results and how long will the treatment last?

Results will be seen immediately following the treatment and depending on what treatment and dermal filler is selected treatments can last anything from 6 months – 18 months. After your treatment there may be some swelling and less commonly bruising. Swelling will settle within 48 hours and bruises can take up to 2 weeks to resolve.
